Kathy Jordan is originally from King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, but has lived in Palo Alto for more than 25 years, after attending Stanford University. She is a proud mother of two, one a Paly graduate, and one a current student in PAUSD. While growing up, Kathy attended public schools.
A former top-ranked professional tennis player and Stanford graduate, Kathy has spent the last year advocating for students and parents in PAUSD. She's been motivated by the simple desire that all of our children should be able access their education and reach their highest potential, free of discrimination, harassment and bullying. She believes that all school administrators, as well as the members of the school board, must comply with the anti-discrimination laws in place, as well as all other applicable laws, and that the school board and the district must manage our taxpayer dollars responsibly and respectfully.
In November, Palo Alto residents will have a clear choice in the election for the PAUSD School Board. Kathy Jordan has been described as a watchdog, and a fighter for students and families. These words aptly describe her passion and commitment to all of our children, and to our tax dollars as well. She will stand up for our community – and bring back level-headed leadership and common sense to our schools, which have been dogged by a record of fiscal mismanagement and mishandling of sexual assaults.
Help elect Kathy Jordan this November – a strong, independent voice for Palo Alto.
